Writing Prompts/Reflections: 40% of the grade
Throughout the semester, students will be completing a variety of assignments designed to utilize or reflect on the lessons from that day. This could come in the form of writing assignments based off of a writing technique learned in class, or reflections engaging with progress throughout the semester. Assignments should be submitted through Google Classroom, and if it is submitted as a document, either through google docs or in PDF form.
Unit Writing Assignment: 60% of the grade
At the end of every unit, you will be asked to create a creative writing piece based in the designated genre. Each of these assignments will have their own guidelines fitting the criteria of short form (such as writing a complete short story instead of a first chapter of a larger book). Students can choose a previous prompt to build off of, however this assignment will be more thoroughly defined. Assignments should be submitted through Google Classroom, and if it is submitted as a document, either through google docs or in PDF form.
Conservatory Retake Policy: When necessary, a student will have two weeks to retake or redo an assignment. After that, the initial grade will stand.
Late/Missing Work: Late/Missing summative assignments or summative assessments must be submitted by 11:59 PM on the last day of the six-week grading period. After that, no late summative work will be accepted or graded.
All assignments are to be submitted on Google Classroom
